Privacy policy
Plain English, no small print. This is what happens to the information you give us.
What we collect
Your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider), the display name, town, county and region you choose to add, and the content of any request or offer you post.
What's public
Request titles, descriptions, category, urgency, town, county and region are visible to everyone, including people without an account. Your email address is never shown publicly.
What's private
Offers of help are visible only to you and the person who posted the request. Our moderators can also see them when investigating a report.
How we use your data
To operate the noticeboard, to connect people who need help with people offering it, and to moderate the site. We don't sell data or run advertising.
Cookies
We store a session token in your browser so you stay signed in. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your requests at any time from your account, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data entirely by contacting us.
Retention
Requests are retained while your account is open. Deleted requests are removed from the noticeboard immediately and purged from backups within 30 days.
